Dogo Argentino - Dog Profile

It is obvious from their name, that they originate from Argentina and they were created from a lot of different breeds. Great Danes, Bull Terrier, Boxer and Spanish Mastiff, all these breed are probably ancestors, of Dogo Argentino. They were bred to hunt wild boars and pumas but also as a amazing guards.

These dogs are not good for novice dog owners, because they are stubborn and can be harder to train. And if you fail training with dog this powerful, you can get into trouble easily. But on the other hand, they are very intelligent and extremely loving and protecting towards their family. And they love to cuddle.

It is important to know, that Dogo Argentino has strong hunting instincts, so make sure, to have well fenced yard. They are also big droolers and despite their short fur, they sheds quite a lot. They have good life span for big dog between 10 to 12 years.
