Hucklebutting, dog zoomies, mad five or freaking. You can meet with all theese names for this funny behaviour. The dog start sprinting all around the house in full speed, spinning around or jumping on and out of sofa and furniture. It can sometimes look dangerous, because he can go in full speed towards wall and change direction at the last moment.
Maybe you are asking, why are they doing this? Its their way, how to deal with burst of energy. Hucklebutting normally last minute or two. After that, your dog is „normal“ again. They do it out of excitement. Its very typical for a dog to hucklebutt, when his owner gets home after longer time.
