Cane Corso is descendant of Roman dog breeds, that were used in wars. When the Roman Empire falls, Cane Corso was used as guard, but also as farm dog and hunter. As you can see, it is very skilled and versatile dog, and especially the hunting ability is great, he was used to hunt dangerous animals, like wild boars.

Coat of Cane Corso is short, but very very dense and glossy. I personally finds it great looking. Cane Corso color can wary, the most common color of Cane Corso is black, light or dark shades of gray, or in light or dark shades of fawn, red, or brindle. Its also very common for them to have white patterns over their body, mostly on their nose, chest, toes and chin.

The thing you will love about Cane Corso is, that they dont drool that much, if we compare them to other mastiffs. But of course, they will still drool, they are mastiffs. They also have less wrinkles than typical mastiff, their skin is tighter.

They are also more trainable than other mastiffs, but again, they are still mastiffs. Which means, they have mind of their own and that they are independent animals. It will not be super easy to train them well, you will have to be consistent and strong leader.
