1) Bred to fight
The Bull Terrier is a cross between bull dogs and various terriers. The goal was, to create a dog, that would have a brutal force of the bulldogs and that would be as agile as a typical terrier. This breed should made a perfect pit fighting dog. Thank god, the dog figts are illegal nowadays.
Hate it or love it. The Bull Terrier face is one of the most disctinct in the dog world. It is very long egg-shaped head. And their eyes are different as well, not many breeds have triangle shaped eyes.
Sometimes, the Bull Terriers look like they are possesed with devils. They are running like crazy from one point to another in full speed. Sometimes they go at full speed head first towards a wall/door/piece of furniture, and then at the last minute change the direction. This activity usually last for two or three minutes only
4) Power and Muscles
This is very muscular dog, just look at their body. They are one of the most muscular dog breeds. This means they are also extremely strong and powerful. They are the four legged body builders.
5) Movie stars
Bull Terriers are charming dogs, so it is no wonder, they appeared in many movies. The most famous would be the 101 Dalmatians, Tha Mask, The Wizard of Oz and Best in Show.
Bull Terrier looks as a tough dog, but dont be fooled by that, this actually a very sweet and gentle dog with goofy, happy and fun personality. This dog is perfect for active people who wants a lot of playtime with their dogs.
7) They want a job
Bull Terriers really enjoy, when they have some kind of job to do. It can be guarding a property, but it can just be some „fake“ job, like dog food puzzle. They will také any task very seriously. Once you train them to do something and they know what is expected of them, it’s not uncommon to see them doing it without you even asking.
8) Miniature version
The miniature bull terrier is registered as a completely different breed. These dogs are only about 14 inches tall. Their appearance and personality, if we dont count the size, are pretty much the same.
The body of Bull Terrier is broad with short and strong back and medium length tail. The typical Bull Terrier is 22 inches tall which is 55 cm and up to 60 pounds which is 27 kg.
Bull Terriers tend to be very loyal to their owners and their family. And they are pretty protective too. This makes them good guards. If you are looking for a dog, that will be always by your side, the Bull Terrier might be a great choice.
