It is important to say, that when we talk about dogs temperament, we most often talk about how those dogs act as a human comapanions. But the Anglo Francais de Petit Venerie is mostly used as a working hunting dog rather than a typical companion.

As you would expect from a hunting breed, they are extremely energetic and work loving dogs. They do have strong pack mentality and they love to live with other dogs. Their ancestors were English Foxhounds and old French Hounds. They were bred to hunt and scent small game and hunt it in pack. They would circle the animal and chase it back towards the hunter.
