American Doberman vs European Doberman Difference

This video is about differences between American and European version of Doberman. But of course, they have a lot in common.

The Dobie is a relatively new breed compared to the ancestry of other canines. In the late 1800s, a German tax collector by the name of Louis Dobermann began to selectively breed a line of dogs to provide owner protection.

The Doberman is compactly built, muscular and powerful. They combine elegance and strength, speed and endurance. The Doberman coat is short, smooth, and hard, showing off the exceptionally clean-cut lines of this athletic breed.

Believe it or not, even though Dobermans have bad reputation, a good Doberman is a stable, friendly dog - unless you threaten his family. Developed as a guard dog, the Doberman has an innate ability not only to protect his family but also to anticipate danger and threats. They are loyal to their owners and are good with children if raised with them; however, some Dobermans bond only to one person.
